The best thing about Yuko and Ian's wedding is that it was all Yuko and Ian. Yuko wore a kimono passed down from her mother and spent the first 40 minutes of her day having her mother dress her in it (there were so many layers!) The ceremony was small and in Golden Gate Park-- the altar a simple piece of fabric and a bilingual ceremony officiated by a dear friend. As far as weddings go, it was clear that the intention was to celebrate love and spend time with loved ones. Beyond the ceremony, there was no agenda for the day-- just a gathering with good food surrounded by everyone special to them. It was beautiful.
