"You are not a drop in the ocean.
You are the entire ocean in a drop."
- Rumi

I didn't have much time to spend in Dubrovnik, but the one thing I will recommend is waking up early. (Having jet lag helps.) Wake up early and walk into town and get lost. First, wander and gawk at the stairs and swoon over the narrow alleys filled with charm. Then, make your way to the city walls and take your time walking around them. Really and truly, going early makes all the difference. I started walking the walls at 8, took my sweet time, and come 10 as I was finishing the loop, the masses had already arrived.

It's amazing what quiet-time in a busy city can do for your heart. (Staying at a place with a sweet balcony is just an added bonus.)
