Although I'm not a donut aficionado myself (I'm all about the pie), I recommend Blue Star to anyone and everyone coming to Portland looking for some fried dough. So I'm really excited to share a little story I wrote and shot for Condé Nast Traveler! Going behind the scenes and watching how the donuts are made was half of my favorite part, the other half was eating them fresh and still warm from the fryer.
