David and I went to New Orleans to ring in the New Year. It's a city I've always wanted to visit and once we were there, I knew it was worth the wait. We didn't have much planned other than to eat and wander, eat and wander; and we did. To the point our feet were so sore at the end of the day that we'd go back to our listing to rest, watch a few episodes of The Office, then head back out again.

The air was nippy and we were always surprised that it was so cold (hey, we're from California). We made new friends through old friends, ate (much) more than three meals a day, and developed a new love for biking. I, personally, couldn't get enough of the many purple houses which I lovingly referred to a "ube-houses."

(And these were all the photos I got until my camera completely stopped working.)
