I shared some photos from Ireland before, but I just got this film back last week. The textures and colors are just so different in this medium. The light in the Trinity College Library is blowing me away. So soft and golden.

These are extra special because they're part of my inaugural roll using my step dad's Minolta. They mean so much more.

Sometimes, I am incredibly lucky.

I'd missed the chance to take a 7am bus from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher one Saturday and as I wandered around the city center, happened upon a post office (I'd been meaning to buy stamps). Once inside, I ran into my friend, Emre, who asked what I was up to that weekend and "oh-- would you like to come with us on our weekend trip?"

So I packed my bags and took an impromptu, completely serendipitous trip to Galway. There were so many lucky things about this trip. Running into Emre, the sweet lady that ran up to the train with Jessica's food just as we were about to board, finding amazing Indian food in the middle of Galway, Emre's four-leaf clover, our 2-turned-6 hour trip to the Cliffs of Moher and somehow still catching the last train back to Dublin during golden hour.

I generally feel like I'm a pretty unlucky person (more about that later), but this was the one trip that just came together and was perfect without planning. Or maybe it was just Ireland.
