My girl Ariela and I teamed up for a feature in Heirloom Magazine on nettles! Not only is it gratifying to see your work in print, it's inspiring to work with talented babes who happen to be your new BFF.

Along with a beautiful narrative from Ariela, she includes two *amazing* nettle recipes (that are also great with spinach and other greens). The Heirloom team did such a gorgeous job with this issue and is kindly offering 15% off with the code "picnic" at checkout. Grab a copy for yourself, your BFF, and your mom here.

Happy summer!

Although I'm not a donut aficionado myself (I'm all about the pie), I recommend Blue Star to anyone and everyone coming to Portland looking for some fried dough. So I'm really excited to share a little story I wrote and shot for Condé Nast Traveler! Going behind the scenes and watching how the donuts are made was half of my favorite part, the other half was eating them fresh and still warm from the fryer.

I'm excited to share the Spring/Summer 2015 lookbook I shot for Beach Bones Jewelry earlier this spring. Her pieces are earthy and wild, and shooting in the cutest little greenhouses was a wonderful way to show them off (and spend a rainy afternoon!)

See more images from the shoot here, as well as a write up in the Portland Mercury, over at Votre Grande Soeur, and Go Local PDX!
